SERVICED OFFICE-WORKSHOP CONCEPT ARRIVES IN YORKSHIRE
Northern Office Investments Limited and DBH Serviced Business Centres Limited today launch their latest £5.2 million development designed around their unique concept of serviced offices, business space units and workshops. The scheme will include 19,750 square feet of purpose built office accommodation available on a work station by workstation basis, and 19,390 square feet of workshop and business space units from 344 square foot upwards.
The accommodation at Longfields Court, Wharncliffe Business Park, Carlton, Barnsley South Yorkshire is available on simple monthly terms and comes equipped fully furnished and ready for immediate occupation.
The scheme itself is extremely versatile and will suit a vast range of commercial enterprises with requirements for office accommodation, business space units and workshops. The concept has proved attractive to start-up companies and a wide range of established firms in Liverpool, where DBH launched a similar concept in 2007, helping firms get operational without the need of heavy up-front investment in premises or the commitment to a long term lease.
At an event to mark the start of construction The Mayor of Barnsley Cllr Len Picken commented “This major investment by Northern Office Investments Limited and DBH with assistance from South Yorkshire Objective I, North Barnsley Partnership and the Barnsley Development Agency will provide a further boost to the Barnsley economy, which has seen rapid growth over recent years. The project will also provide opportunities for the local businesses and residents of nearby Athersley’.
“The combined advantages of flexible space and easy terms have proved extremely popular and DBH intends to roll out the concept elsewhere in the country,” said Jon Swain, of letting agent Mason & Partners.
“People are attracted by the idea of being able to just walk in with no capital expenditure, and have functional premises with phones and furniture ready. They just a pay month’s rent in advance and one month’s rent as deposit. There’s also space for occupiers to grow on the site.”
Offices in Longfields Court are available from £60 per week plus VAT, on a fully inclusive basis and workshops and business space units are available from £150.00 per week inclusive of almost everything.
All offices are furnished and of a high specification and workshops are fitted with a roller shutter door, gas fired space heater, managers’ office, WC compartment, lighting and all mains services. The scheme is located at Wharncliffe Business Park, Carlton – four miles to the north of Barnsley town centre, and readily accessible from the M1J37 and the J37 of the A1(M).
